Dr Gina Jackson OBE wins Women in Games ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award


Sold Out would like to offer a huge congratulations to Gina Jackson for winning the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award at this year’s Women in Games awards. This award is given to someone who has a successful and lengthy career in the games industry, making positive contributions throughout. As Sold Out’s Development Director, Gina is constantly inspiring and enabling others in our industry to succeed and continues to present great leadership and creative impact here at Sold Out. Congratulations Gina!

About Gina:

Having started in the games industry back in 1992, Gina has working in many key UK Games companies including Ocean Software and Eidos Interactive. She was a pioneer in mobile games joining Nokia in 2000 to spearhead their early mobile games business. She is passionate about diversity, having been the CEO of Women in Games, games education having setup NextGen Skills Academy and is a Visiting Professor in Games Industry and Business for NUA and the power of games for good being a trustee for Mental Health charity Safe in our World and Vice-Chair of GamesAid. Gina was recognised with an OBE for services to Education and Diversity in the games industry in 2020.
