Chief Executive Officer
Garry possesses decades of experience in the gaming industry, from EMAP as a magazine publisher on CU Amiga and Computer and Video Games Magazine as well as launching a number of new magazines for the group, through eight years worldwide multi format games licensing experience working for a large Japanese games company (Imagineer).
In 1997 Garry founded and directly managed the hugely successful European based value PC re-publishing business Sold Out Software. The resulting Mastertronic group was later sold to a Dutch publisher.
In 2014 Garry and James launched Sold Out Sales & Marketing Limited with a view to bringing quality titles to market once again across all console and PC formats and from full to mid-price releases
Chief Operating Officer
James started his career at Commodore Business Machines in 1991 before moving across to the Video Games Sector with Gametek (now Take2). His International and domestic experience and expertise was honed at Eidos and GT Interactive, working on iconic brands Tomb Raider, Doom, Mortal Kombat and Driver, before setting up Independent Sales Agency Redback Sales and Development Studios T7 Games and Gingerbread Studios in 2001 and 2005 respectively.
James set up Sold Out Sales & Marketing Limited with Garry in 2014, working closely with developers who wanted to have more autonomy and self-publish themselves on the Sony, Microsoft and PC physical and digital formats.
Since joining The Producers in the late 1990’s, Andy’s worked in a number of industry roles comprising initially of packaging concept and design, fulfilment, production and product management for 3rd party companies such as Interplay, Novalogic and 3DO to name a few. For the past ten years, Andy’s focus has been UK & International Sales roles for the likes of Redback Sales (representing 505 Games amongst others) and Mastertronic where he’s established strong trading relationships with a plethora of retail and distribution contacts worldwide.
A well regarded member of the video games industry, David Walker’s connections with the video games industry is an illustrious one, having previously worked for Virgin Interactive Entertainment back in its heyday and more recently with Sega.
Daniel de Kretser
While studying for his Bachelor of Arts degree in English, Daniel got the opportunity to work in an industry that he had always admired, and spent a placement year at Nintendo UK. After graduating, his experience working in the Video Game industry and lifelong love of gaming led him to join Sold Out as an Account Manager.
Charlotte is new to the gaming industry, joining Sold Out in March 2017 having come from a retail background working as a cash office administrator for Superdry as well as Topman and M&S. She enjoys games, and being one of the younger members of the team, often says how her favourite games come from the “retro” era of PlayStation 2.
Sarah started her career with Criterion Studio before working at Ubi Soft, THQ and Electronic Arts in local and central marketing and brand roles. Sarah worked at Eidos and Square Enix Europe for 10 years where she headed up brand marketing across the company’s Western studios and PAL territories. Sarah brings a wealth of brand and marketing experience to the role at Sold Out.
Digital Content Manager
Joshua has a Bachelor’s Degree in Games Cultures, which has granted him an academic understanding of game design and its history, along with experience developing games in engines such as Unity and Unreal.
He started out working in the front lines of retail in places such as HMV, where he ended being trusted with providing customers informed advice on purchasing decisions related to movies, TV boxsets and specifically video games. He then went on to help manage Activision’s Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare social media accounts at Tempero, before becoming a Digital Content Manager at Sold Out.
He has also been a contributor to the Hugo award nominated Cane and Rinse podcast for the last 5 years, which has consistently ranked among the top 100 video game podcasts in the world.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree from his Film Production, Sean became a games journalist and presenter for various sites. With background experience at Gamespot, videographer for 2K Games to red carpet presenter for SBTV Games & Gadgets, Sean combined his love for film making, photography and video games to become a Product Manager at Sold Out as featured in MCV’s 30 Under 30 (2014).
Konstantinos graduated with a 2:1 honours degree in Public Relations and Communications landing an internship and then securing his first job in the industry doing PR for the likes of PlayStation and EA. Through the years he also worked in Quality Assurance and Community Management with Sega and PlayStation, combining his experiences to become a Product Manager at Sold Out.
Associate Product Manager
Katie was introduced to gaming by her three older brothers when she was five years old, and carried on exploring this newfound enjoyment for games throughout her educational years.
She began managing renowned guild Narshe Red Wings on the critically acclaimed MMO Final Fantasy XIV while studying for her 1st class honours degree in English Literature and Language. Eager to get involved with all things gaming, she began producing articles for various gaming websites, such as Final Fantasy Union, and organised and ran community events both for her guild and other gaming societies; thriving at producing enjoyable, exciting experiences.
She joined Sold Out in October 2017 as her first step into the industry after 8 years of dedicated work as a pharmacy advisor at Boots LTD. She is keen to learn more about the industry that ignites her passions and carry on enjoying what it has to offer.
Nick originally joined the Games Industry in 1998 with GT Interactive as Commercial Manager, since leaving in 2001 he has gained a wealth of experience as Finance Director within Retail, Manufacturing, Distribution, and Not for Profit Sectors.
Jason is new to the gaming industry but has many years of experience working as an accountant within media. He has long wanted to join the gaming sector and have been enjoying video games all the way back to Commodore 64 days.
Russell had spent 5 years in a variety of roles in Event Hospitality before joining Sold Out in November 2017 and is thrilled to kick start his career in such a vibrant industry, right after completing degrees in both Finance and Economics. Russell enjoys online gaming in his free time and often refers to himself as the “King of CoD”.
